Do not wash the area for 12–24 hours unless advised. Avoid makeup, sunscreen, and skincare products. Use cool compresses (no direct ice) and keep your head elevated to reduce swelling.
Starting 24 hours after treatment: Gently cleanse with a mild cleanser. Perform diluted vinegar soaks as instructed (typically 4–6 times daily for 3–5 days). Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor after cleansing and continue 2–3 times daily for about 7 days. Avoid heat, saunas, steam, and intense exercise for 48–72 hours. Avoid alcohol for 48 hours. Do not pick, scratch, or exfoliate the skin. Avoid shaving and swimming for at least 1 week.
Start a mineral sunscreen SPF 30+ after 48 hours once the skin feels comfortable. Avoid direct sun exposure and wear protective clothing. Avoid retinoids, acids, and active exfoliants for 4 weeks. Avoid aggressive treatments for 8–12 weeks. Makeup may be resumed after 48 hours if the skin barrier feels intact.
