Lipolysis Injections
Book NowLipolysis injections, also known as fat-dissolving injections, are a non-surgical treatment designed to break down and eliminate localized fat deposits. Most commonly used under the chin or along the jawline, this injectable solution contains deoxycholic acid—a compound that naturally occurs in the body and helps absorb fat. At Platinum Medical Spa, lipolysis injections are a safe, effective way to contour and slim stubborn areas that don't respond to diet or exercise.

Your session begins with a consultation to determine whether lipolysis injections are the right solution for your aesthetic goals. After cleaning and marking the area, small injections are placed just under the skin. The treatment takes around 20-30 minutes. Mild swelling, redness, or tenderness is normal and often means the product is actively working to break down fat. Most clients need 2-4 treatments spaced a few weeks apart for optimal, long-lasting results.
Swelling, firmness, and tenderness are expected and part of the process. You may also experience redness, bruising, itching, tingling, numbness, nodules, or areas of hardness. These effects are temporary but may last several days to weeks.
Do not touch, rub, or apply pressure to the treated area for at least 6 hours. Avoid manipulating the area unless instructed by your provider.
Avoid skincare products and keep the area clean and dry for 24 hours; gently massage the area with clean hands as instructed. Avoid applying heat, ice, or topical products unless directed by your provider.
Avoid strenuous exercise for 3–5 days, heat exposure such as saunas or hot tubs for 48 hours, and tight or compressive clothing on the treated area. Avoid alcohol for at least 24–48 hours post-treatment.
Drink plenty of water to support fat metabolism and recovery. Maintain a healthy lifestyle to optimize results.
Results develop gradually over 4–8 weeks. Multiple treatments may be required and results are not guaranteed or permanent. Contact your provider immediately if you experience severe pain, signs of infection, difficulty swallowing, asymmetry, prolonged numbness, allergic reaction, or any unusual symptoms. In case of emergency outside clinic hours, seek immediate medical care.
